Our focus has always been on sourcing innovative and inventive solutions that deliver premium performance to our customers. Sometimes these solutions are not mainstream and take some digging to find or by a chance of being connected with the right people. Fascinated by the thick luminous numbers on the dial slope of the IWC Aquatimer, HORAGE co-founder Tzuyu Huang just had to find who was producing this material. This was nearly 20 years ago and her interest lead her to the founder of Xenoprint a Swiss company specialized in Swiss luminous technologies.
Today we utilize Swiss Super-LumiNova in all our HORAGE timepieces and most recently we are utilizing Xenoprints own formula for the Tourbillon 1. A look at the double layer effect supplied by Xenoprints For Tourbillon 1 we opted for one of Xenoprints newest technologies that creates a double layer luminous appliqué. The base layer is white luminous and the top layer is black luminous, both comprised of A Grade Luminous, making for a very bright glow. This double layer of luminous presents a 3D look to the appliqués and the quality is simply second to none. The hands of the tourbillon are also packed with Swiss Super-LumiNova to round out its night time legibility. Charge it up and let it glow! Till Next Time… Landon Stirling
